Company Statement
Skyline Theatre Company is Bergen County's new professional theatre company.  Skyline brings together professional performers, designers and staff from New York City and the surrounding area to produce high quality classic, contemporary, and original plays and musicals.  The company also seeks out diverse arts programs to develop, nurture and produce.  An associate member of The New Jersey Theatre Alliance, Skyline offers a place for its audiences to be entertained and inspired.
Artistic Director
Sam Scalamoni

Mr. Scalamoni, born and raised in New Jersey, is a founding member and Managing Artistic Director of the Skyline Theatre Company.  For Skyline he has directed A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, La Cage aux Folles, Nunsense, Same Time, Next Year, Hair, They're Playing Our Song, It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Proof, Man of La Mancha, and Driving Miss Daisy.

Mr. Scalamoni served as the Associate Director for Elton John's Broadway musical Lestat at San Francisco's Curran Theatre and the Palace Theatre on Broadway.  He was also the Associate Director of Disney's Beauty and the Beast at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre as well as the US national tour, the UK international tour, and companies in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Seoul, Korea.

In New York, Mr. Scalamoni has directed Alan Menken's new Broadway musical Leap of Faith, the debut workshop of Mulan Jr. for Disney Theatrical, At the Back of the North Wind at the Players Theatre and the National Arts Club, Cairo at the Players Theatre, The New Picasso at New World Stages, Treaty 321! at the Lucille Lortel, six New York City premieres Off-Broadway at the Theatre-Studio, and the premiere of Attack of the Elvis Impersonators at the John Houseman Studio Theatre.

Regionally, Mr. Scalamoni directed I Do, I Do for Cortland Repertory Theatre, At The Back of the North Wind at The Village Theatre in Seattle, four productions of Disney's Beauty and the Beast in Montreal, Las Vegas, Illinois, and Oklahoma City, Dracula at the Bickford Theatre in Morristown, the premiere of an original adaptation of A Christmas Carol at the Rochester Opera House in New Hampshire, and the world premiere of Queen Esther at the Forum Theatre in Metuchen, New Jersey.

He has served as Artistic/Producing Director of the Hackmatack Playhouse in Maine and as Artistic Director of the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts in Orange County, New York.  He has also been a guest director at Yale University, Manhattan College, and Longwood College.

On Broadway, Mr. Scalamoni starred as Cyrano in Cyrano the Musical and was the swing and dance captain of the Broadway Company of Les Miserables for two and a half years.  He also toured the US starring as Pippin in Pippin with Ben Vereen and as Jean Poiviere and Enjolras in Les Miserables.

A member of The Society for Stage Directors and Choreographers, Mr. Scalamoni lives in Morris County, New Jersey, with his wife, son, and daughter.

The mission of Skyline Theatre Company is to bring together professional artists to create quality theatre that entertains and inspires an audience.  We make commitments to the education of young people in all aspects of the arts and to cultivating and nurturing new artists and their work.

Skyline Theatre company was founded in 1995 by a group of New Jersey based professional artists and business professionals dedicated to bringing quality theatre to New Jersey.  Skyline Theatre Company is a 501c3 NJ not for profit corporation that uses corporate sponsorships combined with federal and county arts funding and private donations to produce professional theatre.
Managing Director
Victoria Sollecito

Ms. Sollecito, from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, holds a BA in Women’s Studies from Drew University and a Master’s from Sarah Lawrence College where her research focused on popular culture and the arts. She has served as a production manager and stage manager for several New Jersey based theatre companies including Skyline Theatre Company, Two River Theatre Company, Montclair Operetta Club and Studio Players. She currently serves as the Education Director at the New Jersey Arts Collective.  Now residing in Jersey City, Ms. Sollecito is also a corporate trainer for Informa Business Information.
