The mission of Skyline Theatre Company is to bring together professional artists to create quality theatre that entertains and inspires an audience. We make commitments to the education of young people in all aspects of the arts and to cultivating and nurturing new artists and their works.
Our 20th anniversary in 2021
The Skyline Story
Founded in 1995 by a group of dedicated theatre artists and educators, Skyline Theatre Company is a professional company whose mission is to bring together professional artists to create quality theatre that entertains and inspires an audience. We make commitments to the education of young people in all aspects of the arts and to cultivating and nurturing new artists and their works. Originally named The Arts Trust, the company worked in Franklin Lakes where a partnership with the University Program in Theatre Arts and Communications… allowed them to work closely with high school arts students. In 2008 the Board of Trustees renamed the 501© 3 non-profit, Skyline Theatre Company and Skyline joined the prestigious New Jersey Theatre Alliance as an Associate Member. Now in residence at the Fair Lawn Community Center/George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation, through a co-sponsorship from the Borough of Fair Lawn, Skyline is the professional theatre company in residence. The board continues to expand, bringing in business professionals from the community and surrounding area. To this day the company continues to grow both its audience and its sponsor lists and enjoys warm support for bringing inspirational, professional theatre to Bergen County and Northern New Jersey.
In 2021, Skyline Theatre Company celebrated its 20th Anniversary.
